unrolled, exposed to sunlight and allowed to relax before installation. Align
the membrane on the lower edge of roof. Pull back the release film and
align the membrane on the lower edge of roof. Pull the release film to peel
back and apply membrane. Roll lower edges and seams with a hand roller.
Use flat broom or squeegee to help lay flat and adhere the field of the
underlayment. Where nailing is required for steep 9:12 pitch and above,
slope applications, back-nail and cover nails by overlapping with the next
sheet. Valley and ridge applications: peel back the release film, center the
sheet over the valley or ridge and press firmly into place. Always start from
lowest point on valley applications. End laps must be at least 6 inches and
side laps must be at least 3 inches. For best adhesion, apply in minimum
45°F or higher. Store rolls at temperatures between 55°F and 95°F.
It is recommended that a roof jack, with planks, toe boards, or a strong
platform be secured to the underlying roofing deck to prevent slippage
of stored materials on steep sloped roofs (greater than 4:12 pitch). See
